Senior Manager, Recorded Administration
In this dynamic role, your mission is to ensure our artists and clients receive world-class accounting services, while delivering unparalleled customer support. As a key player in our team, you’ll work closely with A&R, Finance, and Royalty Services, handling royalty-related inquiries and operations that keep the music flowing. You'll solve problems, create smart solutions, and build strong relationships with top talent and internal teams. What You’ll Be Doing.
Set up contract and royalty rate models per contractual royalty provisions Review artist/third party contracts and create royalty rate summaries Assist and coordinate detailed research royalty projects Calculate and implement royalty adjustments Clear sales, product and rate calculation errors Research and service inquiries from clients and their teams Manage the accurate, timely processing and review of artist royalty/joint venture statements Work closely with key departments at BMG including legal, finance, creative & Hub teams Support various ad-hoc projects, report requests, and royalty software testing as required
Must Haves.
Experience with royalty terms and calculations related to artist, producer, joint venture, 3rd party and asset purchase agreement reporting Previous experience in a royalty accounting, distribution, or participations role within the music industry Background reading and interpreting contracts, especially related to royalty provisions Strong problem-solving skills Experience with Microsoft Excel is required with demonstrated ability to utilize intermediate-to-advanced Excel functions, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and other analytical functions Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to explain analytical findings to internal stakeholders Experience with royalty calculation software (i.e. Record Maestro, Curve, SR1) required Familiarity with Scrum methodology, Jira/Confluence, Looker are a plus Passion for record labels & music rights administration Have an exceptional attention for detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion Ability to prioritize and effectively follow through under pressure and/or tight deadlines Background with strong analytical aptitude and are comfortable working with financial data, calculations, spreadsheets
It’s a plus if you have a bachelor’s degree preferably in Music Business, Accounting or Finance

Pay Range- $60,000-$64,625
