Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role is responsible for maximising the profitability of DTC by building and driving commercial strategies. Responsibilities include implementing merchandising best practise to ensure delivery of specific trading activity in conjunction with key strategic business goals. A key focus of this role also lies in training and developing the team to ensure merchandising best practise and excellence is maintained and implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Merchandising KPI´s for the DTC channel such as: Standard Margin, Weeks Cover, Net Sales @ FP, Sell Thru, Full Price Sell Thru, Work closely with omnichannel team for the Marketing Campaign Investment, have a timely & full allocations. Also assure the relocation of products based on the sell through Manage end of the season transition & markdowns to maximize the profitability of the channel in the country. Align proactively with other channels & internal stake holders like demand planning , FP&A etc Responsible to optimize the omnihub ecosystem including Ship from stores, click & collect. To optimize the inventory & maximize the sales
Provide relevant inputs to the buying team to build required range and assortment planning strategy for the Retail Channel
Work closely with demand planning to reduce inventories and have a healthy stock turn Drive constant improvements in Allocation and Replenishment (A&R) techniques to ensure the correct execution of the buying strategy and increase conversion rate
Drive a set of key merchandising reports that help evaluate the business goals and ensure this is rolled out within the departments including retail ops , retail marketing to maximize business opportunities Lead the end-to-end in season management including management of best sellers and worst sellers, in season stock cover management, in season reactivity and sales to space management using the tools available to maximize the profitability of the adidas Group in the country and give the best product experience to consumers
Actively work with real estate team to launch new stores with strong first allocation plan & monitor the store performance against segmentation
Work closely with VM team , buying team & retail ops team to establish the right ecosystem of stores Define the key parameters at store level for example size of store ( flagship) , option turns , back of house etc to define the right service level agreement with the supply chain team.
Closely work with retail ops team & store manager to improve the allocation , replenishment of stores
Learn from the sell out data , events or changing store environments to assure that team is adapting the allocations & replenishment Own the calendar of factory outlet promotions to meet the sales & standard margin targets
Simulate the inventory from DTC & WHS returns to calculate right amount of Global factory outlet ( GFO ) buy
Inputs to the GFO range assortment & decide the qty , product types & model requirements.
Define the rules of replenishment & continuously evolve based on the business requirements & systems capability

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Specialist in business or technical skills with detailed knowledge in some areas of work or systems. Broad & deep knowledge in own functional area, combining theoretical and practical knowledge Able to utilize & optimize the business intelligence tools Experience to work in omnichannel environment including SFS , click & collect etc
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience As manager of Experts 2– 4 years management experience required
