Job Description Summary:
Assess feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products, or equipment. Perform field failure investigations and properly document, identify root causes, and participate in corrective and preventive action efforts. Improve manufacturing operational efficiency, optimizing product design, qualifying replacement components, reducing manufacturing costs and improving product quality and customer satisfaction. Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing from R&D. Review engineering designs and documentation for completeness, clarity, and manufacturability. Evaluate and qualify new suppliers. Interface with Product Development to define and implement manufacturability criteria, develop procedures/processes for assembly, PCB's, systems, and sub-systems test procedures including fixtures during the development process. Ensure designs, documents, and procedures are validated in manufacturing prior to production release.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience, the employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of working experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must have demonstrated experience with: CAD – SolidWorks; Engineering Drawings, generating Bills of Materials, developing Standard Operating Procedures, creating, reviewing, and releasing Engineering Change Orders; Reading electrical drawings (schematics); Project management and Continuous Improvement (CI) skills; Developing Manufacturing processes, writing assembly, testing procedures, and training Manufacturing personnel; and ISO 9001 and 13485 standards.
Salary offered for the position is: $166,962.00 - $170,800.00/Year.
