Sr. Marketing Mgr, Event and Deals team- Japan

If so, the JP Marketing team is seeking a talented Marketing Manager to join the Events & Deals team. This is a unique opportunity to own the strategy and execution of Amazon's popular Monthly Deal Events (MDE) and work on a program that impacts customers at a scale that very few other roles offer.

In this role, you will shape and bring to market deal and event initiatives for our customers, working cross-functionally and sometimes internationally to drive ideas from conception to execution. You will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in an ever-changing environment, and able to see the road ahead while paying careful attention to detail.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, innovative and analytical candidate who must be able to work at the strategic level (using customer behavior and data to generate strategies for growth) and at the tactical level (optimizing campaigns with merchandising tools, analyzing traffic and/or sales data to identify problems). This candidate will have a strong understanding of all aspects of the marketing funnel and possess great project management and influencing skills to work across multiple teams to achieve success. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, great at meeting multiple deadlines, and comfortable with a varied set of software and data. The candidate should also be comfortable engaging with senior leaders in Japan and worldwide counterparts.

Experience in marketing, digital advertising, and social media is highly desired. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with multiple teams, vendors, partners, and management. Key job responsibilities
(1) Re-imagine, scale and develop winning customer proposition for Events to drive the mid to long term strategic vision.
(2) Ensure flawless execution by program managing Deal Events that delight our JP customers.
(3) Own and develop the product and experimentation charter to affect big changes to the way we create Events CX, continuously measuring progress along the way, driving north-star goals by influencing customer behavior.
(4) Track and continuously improve on the key metrics (customer funnel, financial, operational), in line with our long-term vision for customers across every experience lever, so as to improve these event-on-event.
(5) Develop the end-to-end vision for how event experiences and process must pivot, drive cross-org and leadeship alignment to build the right products, experiences and service levels to achieve long-term strategic goals.
(6) Benchmark across marketplaces and competitors to establish guidelines and best practices.
