Sr. Material Specialist

Sr. Specialist, Materials

Duties and Responsibilities:

-        Establish and monitoring of:

o    Project Material Control Plan

o    Material flow from design to fabrication (MTOs, Spools, Structural Steel, Electrical Bulks)

o    Shop/Site Material tracking

o    Allocation and Prioritization of Materials

-        Expediting of Purchase Orders for Bulk Materials

-        Interfacing with the logistics to coordinate timely shipment of equipment/material to the shop in a safe and cost-efficient manner to support fabrication and assembly

-        Resolution of OSDs (Over Shortage Deficiencies)

-        Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports

-        Provides activity and status reports to management

 

Skills Required:

-        Modular, Field or Jobsite Expediting experience.

-        Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 7+ years of experience

-        Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage shifting priorities

-        Strong computer skills to include Excel, and Power Point
