Sr. Mech Tech

Responsibilities:

Complete assigned work to Mechanical Rotating Equipment CommissioningTechnicians according to project requirements and deadlinesMonitor and evaluate the performance and quality of work of Rotating Equipment TechniciansEnsure that all Equipment Installation, Commissioning, and Repair activities are carried out in compliance with OEM standards, safety regulations, and company policiesTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Mechanical Equipment operation and functionalityOrder and maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts, tools, and materials for Rotating Equipment Commissioning ActivitiesTrain and mentor new or junior Mechanical Technicians on best practices, procedures, and techniquesCommunicate and coordinate with other departments, vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth and efficient operation of EquipmentProvide technical support and advice to engineers, managers, and clients on Mechanical Equipment design, selection, testing, fabrication, installation, and commissioning

Experience & Skills:

Knowledge of maintenance strategy and analysis techniques, such as reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), root cause failure analysis (RCFA), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)Strong mechanical equipment troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, using tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and laser alignmentExperience in machinery rotor balancing, using equipment such as balancing machines, soft foot correction tools, and dial indicatorsFamiliarity with industry standards, safety procedures, and best practices for rotating equipment operation and maintenance.The Mechanical Rotating Equipment Tech must have the ability to work with Client Management, Subcontractor Field Millwrights, Outside Shop Personnel and Vendor Field Reps.Certification or license from a recognized professional organization, such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), or the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP)Prefer - Level II or III Lubrication Analyst Certification (LCAT2 or LCAT3) from the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML)Prefer - Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) from the SMRP*Prefer NCCER Millwright Certified Plus

Additional Qualifications:

In lieu of formal education, a Craft Certification + 8 or more years of experience in the field of rotating equipment installation, commissioning & maintenance.Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
