CTSI Employees onlyWorks at clinical site assisting clinical physics and dosimetry staff in the development and implementation of new technology and clinical processes. In all cases, the individual will work under the direct supervision of a Qualified Medical Physicist.

Key Responsibilities:

Assists clinical physicist in the development and implementation of new technology and processes:Follows instructions of a medical physicist on gathering of specific commissioning data and measurements for a particular technologyFollows instructions of a medical physicist on evaluation and verification of specific functions for a particular technologyPerforms validation measurements for new technology and processesDevelops, validates, and documents testing and QA procedures for new technology and processesDevelops training materials for new technology and processesProvides training other staff and faculty on specific technology and processes Performs clinical quality assurance measurements (Patient specific IMRT QA, Daily QA and other machine/ special measurements)Performs patient IMRT quality assurance treatment planning.   Other duties as assigned by the supervising clinical physicist

Qualifications

Located or willing to relocate to Kalispell, MT or surrounding areaBachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science or related science degree is requiredNo prior experience in medical physics necessary but is preferred.
