SR. MEDICAL PRACTICE REP

Summary

JOB SUMMARY: Under minimum supervision, provides oversight to the administrative processes and maintains a high level of customer service to the patients. Works closely with the department Office Coordinator(s) to monitor registration and scheduling efficiencies, processes, training and communication to the other Medical Practice Representatives (MPR), as directed. Responsible for the flow of Office Coordinator(s) tasks and monitoring of assigned waiting rooms.   This position routinely will also work closely to identify areas for improvement in registration processes to decrease denial rates for the department. The Senior Medical Practice Representative is an important role and should be regarded as the example to other administrative staff on how to provide the best quality of service to our patients in both our practice and organization. As well, this position will also perform registration and scheduling of outpatient appointments, charge entry (as needed), timely collection of co-pays and medical record functions. May require the need to obtain referrals.   REQUIREMENTS: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. 3 years relevant experience preferred.
