Job Description

Able to learn and support the Verisk Global Protection Services initiatives based in our Jersey City, NJ global headquarters which has a flexible hybrid work model (2-3 days per week in-office)

Review Verisk offices’ operating protocols in adherence to health and safety standards.Perform facility assessments, evaluating inherent risks, mitigation actions, and remaining residual risks of safety/security for Verisk facilities.Author and maintain GPS’ Health and Safety Policy, including reviewing and updating the Facility Safety/Security playbook and Employee-facing Safety/Security playbooksLiaison with facility leads and BU managers in preparation and response to possible crisis incidents and emergency response efforts. Incidents can include increased geopolitical tension, civil unrest and/or man-made or natural events.Support GPS business continuity projects as requiredSupport GPS investigations by providing and analyzing applicable employee information, financial records, and travel records.Demonstrate strategic and analytical thinking with advanced program management capabilitiesExcellent team skills, both as a leader and as a team playerStrong organizational and conflict management skillsCompletes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in health or safety science, crisis management, criminal justice or a related field and 7+ years of relevant experience.Minimum of 7 years experience in health and safety preparedness programs, crisis response, or OSHA-related program development.Proficient and broad knowledge of health and safety, physical security assessments, and policy development.Skilled in interviews and investigations, experienced in workplace violence detection and mitigation.Strong working knowledge of business continuity processes, concepts, strategies, and methodologies, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, recovery procedures, and crisis management.Ability to support investigations by developing and maintaining case management protocols through evidence collection, report preparations, and documented findings.Superior organization and communication skills, coupled with strong technical writing and/or editorial skills and the ability to develop, document, and maintain methodologies and procedures.Demonstrate superior leadership, consulting, analysis, presentation, and project management skills.  Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with vendor risk-tracking platforms is a plus.Ability to work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision and meet aggressive deadlines is essential.Professional designations/certifications (e.g., ISO 22301, ISO 45001, NFPA, OSHA, ASIS certifications, ICS-200 ) are highly desirable.Ability to hold a T/S government security clearance.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.Travel Required: up to 20-30%, and willingness and ability to travel on short notice.
