We are seeking a hands-on Senior Network Engineer to support our production network, ensuring 99.999% uptime while contributing to network expansion, troubleshooting, and improvement. This role focuses on operational excellence with opportunities to shape network design and optimization. We're looking for someone who is not only technically skilled but also eager to learn and grow with us.This role requires the ability to travel to the data center in Sacramento for network expansion, troubleshooting, and implementing critical changes as needed.Key Responsibilities: Manage and execute tasks related to network operations, expansion, and maintenance.Travel to the Sacramento data center for network expansion, troubleshooting, and implementing important changes.Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN incidents, including complex issues.Collaborate with engineering and QA teams on requirements, design, and planning phases.Maintain network documentation and operational procedures.Support production changes and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.Work with vendors on hardware procurement and evaluate new network solutions.Assist customers with circuit provisioning, VPNs, and connectivity.Must-Have Skills: Advanced BGP and Multicast: Expertise in configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.Load Balancers: Hands-on experience with F5 and A10 for configuration, management, and troubleshooting.Advanced Switching: Deep understanding of VLANs, vPC, STP, QoS, and troubleshooting Layer 2/3 networks.Firewall Operations: Strong skills in configuring NAT, VPNs, ACLs, and security policy troubleshooting.Linux Basics: Networking, packet capturing, and traffic analysis using tools like tcpdump.IGP Routing Protocols: Deep understanding of OSPF and IS-IS, including configuration and troubleshooting.Nice-to-Have Skills: VXLAN-EVPN, IPsec, SNMP, DNS.Experience with automation (e.g., Python scripting).Familiarity with large-scale data center environments and cabling/rack build-outs.What We’re Looking For: A detail-oriented and analytical problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments.A team player with a passion for continuously improving network performance.Someone eager to learn, grow, and adapt to new challenges and technologies.A professional who takes pride in operational excellence and isn’t afraid to get hands-on.Willingness and ability to travel to the Sacramento data center when required for critical tasks.
