Overview:

Senior Network Engineers work with the Network Architecture and Engineering team members to assist in scoping, design, and implementation of architectural changes to our network as well as the day-to-day operations and response to incidents/outages. The network engineering team owns our complete hybrid multi-cloud network architecture across multiple datacenters and geographic regions. Your expertise and technical leadership will ensure Xperi's global network is operating with resiliency and design principles that empower our engineering teams to release rapidly while meeting service level agreements with our customers.

The Day-to-Day (Responsibilities):Applying a service-oriented approach to managing the network environments, communicating and implementing change requests and improvements.Function as an on-call resource for alerts and reported incidents/outages.Rack-and-stack of equipment in MDF/IDF/datacenterVendor relationship management, including root cause analysis with vendorsEvaluate the effectiveness of existing systems, tools, and designs; working with the team to develop strategies for improving them.Monitor network performance and stability of our production and enterprise networks. Manage alert and deviation-based automations for the network systems.Creating documentation of the current systems state and implementation plans for improvements.Work cross functionally across the organization to help empower teams and identify areas of improvement for the networkQualifications: You have a clear record of top performing execution within network engineering teams managing customer facing network delivered services (8+ year experience equivalent)Knowledge managing Spine-Leaf architecture switch fabrics. (Cisco NXOS preferred)Palo Alto Networks Security platform management (Firewalls, Security Policies)Strong cloud networking expertise in at least one IaaS platform (AWS preferred)Comfortable in a hybrid cloud environment with a diverse array of hardware and software networking products.Fluency in at least one programming/scripting language for automating common tasks and interacting programmatically with network systems (ex: Python / Go / NodeJS / Bash / etc)You have strong fundamental knowledge of infrastructure systems including compute, OS, hypervisor, network, storage, database and securityQualifications (Nice to haves): AWS networking expertise - (Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, etc)Infrastructure as Code experience (Ansible / Terraform) Life @ Xperi:At Xperi, we value People, Customers, Performance and Innovation.
