Sr. Paralegal
Description Make today so awesome, that tomorrow gets jealous. One of our favorite Uptown Dallas Law Firms is seeking an experienced Sr. Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities including the drafting of legal documents, conducting research, preparing for and attending trial. The firm handles a variety of cases to include Catastrophic Injury, Medical Negligence, Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, Wrongful Death, and Business Litigation cases. Your litigation experience will be welcome from either the defense or plaintiff side. Responsibilities: • Drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents such as demand letters, lawsuits, motions, and orders • Collaborating with clients to respond to discovery and produce necessary documents • Ordering medical records as needed • Liaising with law enforcement and other government agencies to request open records or other documents • Conducting investigative tasks and legal research • Keeping client files, both paper and electronic, well-organized • Preparing mediation and trial binders for attorneys and attending trials • Regularly updating clients on the status of their case • Assisting with communications with retained experts and dispatching documents • Notifying potential lien holders of claims and keeping up-to-date with lien holders for resolution • Participating in client intake meetings. Call Rosie Jones at 214-999-0909 Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the role of a Litigation Trial Paralegal. • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is required. • Strong calendar management skills are essential. • Extensive experience in Civil Litigation is necessary. • Must have excellent grammar, spelling, proofing skills • Experience in Litigation - Plaintiff is desirable. • Accuracy is key and paying attention to the details. • There are no billable hour requirements. • The candidate must have worked in a Litigation Paralegal role in a law firm. • Knowledge of Litigation Practice is a must.
