Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team in Long Beach, California. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex payroll operations across multi-state and multi-entity environments while ensuring compliance with wage and tax regulations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional attention to detail, and possesses strong technical skills.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and execute payroll processing for multi-state and multi-entity organizations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now for payroll management, including imports, exports, reporting, and time & attendance systems.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws, as well as tax regulations.
• Process union payrolls and handle associated reporting requirements.
• Conduct payroll audits, general ledger reconciliations, and year-end processing to maintain financial accuracy.
• Create and analyze payroll reports using tools like Excel and Crystal Reports.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate and optimize timekeeping systems.
• Manage benefit functions, including 401(k) and RRSP administration.
• Provide support during payroll system transitions or upgrades, ensuring seamless operations.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of payroll experience, including multi-state and multi-entity operations.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws as well as federal and state tax compliance.
• Prior experience with union payroll processing is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for payroll reporting and analysis.
• Familiarity with payroll audits, general ledger reconciliations, and year-end processing.
• Preferred qualifications include an ADP certification, fluency in Spanish, and industry experience in construction, business services, or maritime.
• Knowledge of integrated timekeeping systems and accounting software is advantageous.
