Responsibilities
Responsible for providing high-level purchasing services with a specific focus on procuring supplies as well as specialty and hazardous drugs. Ensures the timely, accurate, and efficient procurement of pharmaceutical supplies required to adhere to safety regulations and USP 797/800 guidelines. Oversees the entire purchase order lifecycle, from requisition to payment; utilizes strong analytical skills to optimize costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors to meet the pharmacy's unique needs, particularly for intravenous medications and related supplied.

Salary Range: $70,204 - $86,731 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Qualifications
Education
Required: High School diploma /GED
Completion of Tech Training Program including Sterile Product course
Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or other
relevant discipline
Experience
Required: Minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in an infusion pharmacy and healthcare organization,
including hazardous drugs and supplies procurement and inventory management activities
Preferred: 7+ years of progressive purchasing experience in a hospital or infusion pharmacy environment.

Required: ACPE Pharmacy Sterile Products Certification
IV Certified
PTCB Certified
TSBP registered
Preferred: Certification as a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Professional in
Healthcare Supply Management (CPHSMT)
Special Skills
Required: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at analyzing data, and identifying cost-saving
opportunities.
Knowledge of chemotherapy drug categories and classifications is essential
Preferred: Proficiency in pharmacy inventory management software systems, efficient inventory tracking and
order management of supplies and hazardous pharmaceuticals.
Specialized knowledge in healthcare procurement and hazardous materials handling

Required: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-
functional teams, suppliers, and vendors to meet the pharmacy's supply needs.
In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical supplies and equipment used in infusion services, focusing on
adherence to USP 797 and 800 guidelines.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in procurement processes and documentation.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
environment while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
