Inventory Management Accurately and efficiently order medications and supplies Accurately and efficiently receive/restock medications and supplies Accurately and efficiently complete cycle counts and inventory audits Outdate expired or soon to expire medications in a timely manner Ensure medication security and accountability at all times Monitors area inventory and supplies, notifies appropriate personnel when shortages and/or outages noted.

Education
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Certificate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program or 2 years of college credit.
License/Certification
Required: Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
Preferred: Current Certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Current Intravenous Medication Certification (IV-Sterile Products) approved by the Accreditation Counsel for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
Experience
Required: Two years pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, infusion center, or retail pharmacy.
Preferred: Experience in hazardous sterile compounding, high risk sterile compounding, nonsterile compounding, inventory management, and Pharmacy employee training. Experience in OR, critical care, pediatrics, ordering/receiving medications, and controlled substances.
