Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Chartered/Professional Engineer status or equivalent certification is highly desirable. Experience: A minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 6 years in Pipeline Engineering. Comprehensive knowledge of international standards and codes relevant to Pipeline Engineering. Proven track record in managing time, cost, and quality across multiple engineering projects. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English and confidence in conducting presentations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute Pipeline Engineering activities from concept design to commissioning, including engineering studies, FEED, and detailed design. Develop and review comprehensive, clear work-scopes for projects and ensure alignment with QatarEnergy standards and policies. Review and approve technical deviations, variations, and method statements, ensuring compliance with approved guidelines and best practices. Plan, coordinate, and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver technical services on time and within budget. Conduct in-house site surveys, design reviews, and engineering assessments, ensuring technical integrity and quality. Review, check, and approve designs, specifications, and technical bid packages for scope compliance. Collaborate with contracted organizations to resolve technical challenges and ensure scope adherence. Support QatarEnergy’s technical assurance practices, update engineering standards, and contribute to the organization’s amendment of external standards. Evaluate and monitor project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of engineering activities. Mentor and support the professional development of colleagues, including structured training programs for Qatari Associate Engineers.
