Purpose of Role:

You will be responsible for managing the design, development, and maintenance of plant related equipment projects for our Port Hope steel foundry. You will also help lead initiatives toward energy conservation, safety and environmental improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Focus Area: Lead and coordinate the continuous improvement of plant equipment reliability and maintenanceFocus Area: Installation and commissioning or decommissioning of plant systems and facilitiesFocus Area: Plant safety, energy conservation, and environmental complianceFocus Area: Plant wide Integration and support of product specific manufacturing systems and cells, including troubleshooting and optimization.Focus Area: Research and Develop advanced manufacturing solutions and process innovations to support the Plant initiatives.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred with 10 years industry experience; Associate's degree may be considered with additional experience.Heavy industry plant engineering and project management experience required; steel foundry experience is a plus, but not required.Proficiency in 2D or 3D CAD systems.Strong communication skills with a drive to work with collaborative cross-functional teams.
