**Overview** Kimley-Horn's Los Angeles, California (CA) office is seeking a Plumbing Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join their MEP team! **Responsibilities** The ideal candidate will have experience in plumbing design and engineering consulting, particularly within the healthcare industry. + Support plumbing design execution for various healthcare projects under the guidance of senior engineers + Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling, coordination, and budgeting + Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems + Assist in the preparation of cost proposals and project contracts, including add service agreements + Participate in MEP systems reviews, engaging with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients to drive compliance and quality. + Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations + Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors + Participate in quality control reviews of MEP system designs, calculations, and drawings + Provide support to designers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams + Gain experience in managing projects, with the opportunity for career growth into senior-level roles **Qualifications** + 10+ years of experience in Plumbing design and engineering for healthcare projects within an engineering consulting environment + Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems + Experience with design software such as Revit BIM, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Easypower + Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on project teams + A PE license and/or Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) is preferred, but candidates pursuing licensure will be considered + Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team + Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability + Willingness to learn and grow in a project management capacity **Base Salary Range:** + $175,000 - $190,000 + Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation **Why Kimley-Horn?** At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
