Project Kuiper is a groundbreaking endeavor aimed at deploying a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to deliver high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. We are looking for talented individuals to join our dynamic team and contribute to this mission.
Role Overview:
As a Sr. Power Electronics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering team focused on pioneering new product development. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design and optimization of DC/DC and AC/DC power electronics systems, specifically tailored to power our advanced phased array antenna customer terminals. This role will function as a lead role that drives the current generation and next generation power architecture for the Kuiper Customer Terminal products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design various DC/DC topologies such as: buck, boost, IBC, STC, isolated flyback, half/full bridge, etc.
- Simulate and optimize PDN using industry standard tools (SPICE, Sigrity, Hyperlynx, etc.)
- Lead a team of engineers during deep dive efforts to root cause power noise related system effects.
- Leverage expertise in various AC/DC & DC/DC topologies to optimize system performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Address EMI/EMC challenges in power circuits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop efficiency and cost models for power electronics designs, exploring different topologies to enhance product line performance.
- Generate test plans and procedures, supporting flow-down requirement definitions, and oversee design verification activities.
- Lead schematic capture and PCB layout design, ensure robustness and manufacturability.
- Conducting board bring-up, executing test campaigns, and proposing effective solutions to design issues.
Export Control Requirement:
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum due to applicable export control laws and regulations.
