UPMC Regional Orthopaedics is hiring a full-time Senior Practice Manager!

This is a Monday-Friday, daylight position. No weekends or holidays! This position will require travel amongst all offices in Lawrence and Mercer Counties.

UPMC Regional Orthopaedics is a dynamic, growing practice that provides orthopaedic and rheumatologic care to our community.   This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong leadership and business skills who seeks to help continue the growth and success of the practice.

Purpose:
Manage all operational aspects of the practice sites to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Monitor practice operations to identify areas for improvement, expansion of services, and potential new market areas. Develop strategic plans for practices. Serve as liaison to various UPMC departments and resources. Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and peers through oral and written communication. Ensure compliance with all UPMC policies and procedures. Monitor and meet practice-specific benchmarks inclusive of point of service and scheduling (inclusive of template management for timely patient access), if applicable. Serve as liaison for renovations, construction, and building utilization with UPMC and outside construction services. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of current procedures and plans with the Office/Practice Manager and Physician to develop and implement new, more efficient systems and procedures as required to improve office operations. Assist in physician relations as necessary. Develop and maintain a patient-centric culture, centered around patient arrival and follow-up activities in line with the consumerism initiatives, if applicable. Supervise and oversee practice budgets. Maintain knowledge initiatives as they relate to the operation of the practices. Assist in the due diligence, practice valuations, contract negotiations, and staffing as required. Oversee and assist in the recruitment of staff and new practices. Ensure appropriate and high-quality staffing through the strategic placement of office coordinators, office and practice managers.
