Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Professional with Capture and Proposal Manager experience to join our Maritime Unmanned Surface Systems team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of a new business opportunity from a conception to closure. Working closely with the Maritime Unmanned Surface Director developing market analyses and business cases that supports the growth targets and aligns with our strategic objectives in the unmanned maritime domain. The candidate shall have experience in Capture Management and Proposal Development for large systems integration type proposals. Additionally, excellent communications skills and the ability to present, defend and implement new business and growth opportunities.
Essential Functions:
Develop and execute capture strategies for new business opportunities within the unmanned surface systems market.Generate, document and present business cases that support the development of new opportunities. Manage the proposal process from initiation to submission, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and company policies.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, finance, and legal, to gather necessary information and approvals.Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to drive capture plans and bid strategies.Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Manage customer engagements and messaging for L3Harris executives.Ensure alignment with ITAR, EAR, and CUI regulations during the capture and proposal processes.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.Experience in business development, capture management, and proposal writing within the defense industry.Maritime and/or US Navy experience and business acumen. Demonstrated success in capturing and winning new business in the unmanned systems market or adjacent markets.Demonstrated strong understanding of government contracting processes and regulations.Demonstrated excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Must be available to travel up to 33%.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications - including Excel, Powerpoint and Teams.Must have an active SECRET security clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance highly desirable.Preferred Additional Skills:
