This Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer/ Staff Electronics Engineer position requires a blend of Hardware and Software skills, experience with DC, Analog, Digital or RF test & measurement equipment, and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex electronic systems. Typical

Basic Qualifications Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer:

You must satisfy one of the following education/experience criteria to be considered for this position:

Bachelors degree in STEM with 8 years’ experience, Masters degree in STEM with 6 years’ experience. An additional 4 years’ experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.The ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and block diagramsMix of hardware and software skillsExperience in text-based programming (e.g. C /C++)Background and working knowledge in RF, digital or power theory and conceptsExperience with test & measurement equipmentAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications Staff Electronics Engineer:

You must satisfy one of the following education/experience criteria to be considered for this position:

Bachelors degree in STEM with 12 years’ experience, Masters degree in STEM with 10 years’ experience, Ph.D. degree in STEM with 0 years’ experience. An additional 4 years’ experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.The ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and block diagramsMix of hardware and software skillsExperience in text-based programming (e.g. C /C++)Background and working knowledge in RF, digital or power theory and conceptsExperience with test & measurement equipmentAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM disciplineTest design and integration backgroundAbility to work with minimal direction and guidanceExperience with LabWindows CVI, C / C++ programmingTestStand programmingExperience with schematic design tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics, Zuken, etc.)Proficiency with digital, analog, RF test equipment, RF theory and high-speed digital designFamiliarity with differential digital interfaces like LVDS - PXI/PXIe and VME bus experienceHands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardwareActive Secret clearance and SAP

This opening can be filled at a level 4 OR 5.

This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00Salary Range 2: $163,200.00 - $244,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
