Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer Software – TS Test Verification Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The selected Sr. Principal Software Engineer will support the C2BMC program and manage software requirements verification for the Track Server product team. You will achieve customer acceptance of test procedures, verifying automated test procedures, creating/managing software tools to assist with automated requirements verification, and work with the Track Server scrum teams to analyze software performance, observations, and requirements verification.
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.
C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
Essential Functions:
Create a test development plan to ensure all applicable functional and performance requirements are verifiedWill write automated test plugins that integrate with the C2BMC test framework using the Java software languageAnalyze functional and performance requirements to create logical flow diagrams of testsWill work and communicate effectively with systems engineers/architects’ analysis of test results, and present verification analysis to the Government customerAssist with Software DevelopmentAssist with managing lab assetsApply Agile MethodologiesBasic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a related STEM discipline and 6 years of experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to startAbility and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needsApplicants must have experience in testing and evaluating a software-intensive system in various test environments/venues, utilizing Agile developmentApplicants must have experience in the use of DoD test methodologies, functional capability-related test/analysis planning and execution, planning and execution of test data collection, and test data analysis and reportingApplicants analysis experience should involve characterizing system, software, or component performance using quantitative methods, reporting the characterization to subsequent users, and contributing to performance assessment by program system engineersPreferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
