Summary:
The Principal Architect-Senior provides the technical vision and direction for the integration of all information systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees the definition of architecture requirements for all information systems, covering both functional and non-functional (i.e., performance, reliability, security) aspects. Defines and documents the key architectural concepts, abstractions and the target system architecture, spanning application, information/data and technical infrastructure. Selects strategic tools and platforms for development, testing and deployment. Ensures the communication of principle technical drivers such as trends, best practice, setting and applying standards. Defines technical objectives, goals, constraints, key features and overall architecture approach. Mentors technical staff.Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree7+ years of hands on experience experience in the IT fieldPreferred Qualifications:
IT experience designing architectures and delivering information systems including data/information architecture, technical infrastructure, architecture and application architectureSolution Architecture experience across the business, technology, data, application, and infrastructure domainsExperience working in Agile/ScrumExperience with SDLC, waterfall and agile delivery; DevOps and testing includingDemonstrated proficiency and experience in performing Solution Architecture for large and complex solutions across the enterpriseHighly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skillsHigh level of professionalism and confidence with the ability to build credibility as a trusted advisor with leadership, team members, and business partnersAbility to problem-solve, plan, scope, and provide estimates for work effort, producing quality deliverables on time and on budgetExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels, and explain/influence technical concepts clearly and concisely to multiple layers of peers and leadership
