Vehicle Motion provides solutions for mobility through steering, braking, occupant safety, and vehicle dynamic sensors. Vehicle Motion is also a leader in the software and services that will support the future of Software Defined Vehicles. The Sr Product Lead- Cost & Change Management is responsible for implementation and deployment of cost reduction strategy within Vehicle Motion Braking Products in North America; enabled by technical expertise and solid product knowledge. This cost reduction initiative ensures our competitiveness within North America and helps to secure our EBIT targets. **Scope & Responsibilities:** + Lead cost reduction initiatives w/in VM-NA product areas & product groups. + Analyze product material cost targets w/in product portfolio, across plants, to define focus areas which will secure EBIT. + Construct and maintain a comprehensive cost reduction project overview for specific product groups in North America. + Lead and support workshops within local and international Cross Functional Teams (i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, etc…) at manufacturing plants and engineering sites. + Support evaluation of cost saving measures via feasibility studies and business case calculations (i.e. Total Cost of Ownership). + Support value streams with implementation of defined measures from ideation phase thru start of production. + Support Engineering Change Requests while considering cost, lead-time and customer implementation scenarios. + Support analysis and evaluation of financial results on a monthly basis and report out to product area owners. + Ensures timely reporting of KPIs to local and international leadership teams. + Share best practices across products and regions while driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure lean and effective process. + Travel Expectation: Travel as needed, domestic and international, to lead and support cost reduction workshops. **Qualifications** **Basic Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. + 5+ years of professional work experience in automotive industry (e.g. engineering, project management, product management, manufacturing, etc.). + 2+ years of full product life cycle experience. **Preferred Qualifications** + Self-driven, high energy and proactive with strong motivational skills who can lead teams toward a common goal. + Previous experience leading cross-functional teams with ability to quickly build internal networks. + Individual must have ability to make independent decisions that may be of a complex nature. + High attention to detail, on-time delivery and excellent first-pass yield. + Ability to learn and understand product technical requirements, including drawings and specifications. + Business management knowledge (marketing, sales, controlling, cost-benefit calculation) & visualization of features. + Passionate continuous improvement mindset. + Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and proficiency in MS Office Suite. + German and/or Spanish language skills desirable. **Additional Information** Thanks to the work of every associate, Bosch has been recognized for award-winning culture by the following organizations: Great Place to Work™ Certified, 2024 Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies, 2024 America’s Best Large Employers, 2024 America’s Best Employers for Diversity, 2024 America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women, Newsweek2024 Greatest Workplaces for Diversity, Newsweek 2024 **Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
