About the team and the role:
The Browse & SEO team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help us reimagine the browse landing page experience and meet the needs of millions of eBay users across the globe. In addition to powering a relevant part of the buyer journey, browse pages are also highly optimized for external search engines, such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo, to generate a significant amount of organic traffic for eBay. You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, researchers, data scientists, and business partners to identify customer needs, develop product strategies, and test solutions.
The successful candidate for this role understands how to use data and research insights to make product decisions to improve both user experience and drive SEO traffic. This person would have a track record of successfully evangelizing and delivering complex products in a large matrixed organization. This role will work directly with many partners both within the product team as well as with functional and business partners, so the ability to drive consensus and problem solve is crucial.
What you will accomplish:
Category page layout - Buyers come to eBay to explore, discover, and buy and our category pages help them find exactly what they are looking for. Across the millions of landing pages we have, it’s critical to maintain a consistent and data-driven layout to provide a best-in-class user experience.
Content – Demonstrating content as a key lever for SEO as well as user engagement. Set up content tests, optimize the content delivery process, and explore generative AI as a mechanism to scale quality content.
Leverage design and research partnerships to get insights and feedback throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Work closely with solution architects and engineering counterparts to bring product ideas to life.
Influence and cultivate collaboration with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to, user research, data analytics, technical seo, data operations, in order drive alignment and shared goals.
Serve as the liaison between SEO/Browse and relevant partners, such as business unit partners/merchandisers and focus category partners and team members.
What you will bring:
5+ years of experience in Product Management
Prior experience in launching consumer-facing products
Experience working with user experience design and research
Consistent track record of product execution and delivery
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners
Comfortable working in large, matrixed organizations
Ability to drive consensus and problem solve
Knowledge and experience in SEO (understand macro trends, innovations, and competitive landscape) is desired, but not required
Experience in content platforms at scale is desired, but not required
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$178,400 - $238,200Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
