Opportunity Snapshot:

Compensation: $150-155K/yearLocation: Deer Park, TXWork Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+Assignment Duration: Direct hireBenefits: Comprehensive company-provided insurance Responsibilities Develop, track and report key performance indicators for the plant and other performance metrics for area of responsibility, identify and implement improvement opportunitiesTrack production metrics and remove bottlenecks to achieve schedule complianceRefine or identify opportunities for optimizing process controlsParticipate in plant shutdown/turnaround planning and executionAssist in the evaluation of any new products and or processesTrack process yields, establish targets/goals. Recommend and show improvement in yields in GlycineLearn plant processes and become technical expert both internally and externally. Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis of any off spec production or process issuesModify (or develop new) procedures as required in accordance with plant policies for any such changes (MOC, etc.)Train and mentor plant operations personnel on proper process techniques and changes to ensure continuity from day to dayAssist with loss prevention reviews and recommend/incorporate safety controls on new or modified processesOther duties or special projects may be assigned Qualifications

5 to 10+ years of experience as a production engineer in a chemical plant

A BS or higher in Chemical Engineering

Experience with Process Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment Reviews

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Working knowledge of office productivity software, including spreadsheets and word processing

Experience with standard operating procedures

Familiarity with health and safety regulations, PSM/RMP

6 sigma green belt certification preferred

High-level knowledge of process control software systems.
