Senior professional candidates typically have at least 8+ years of experience in Mechatronics engineering or a related role in the material handling industry. Employees will be based in Monterrey, N.L., but must be willing to travel up to 50% to customer locations in the USA.

In the role of Electrical (HW) Design, you will work independently while providing guidance to less experienced engineers. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting the preparation of documents such as calculations, design specifications, descriptions of operations, and test specifications. You will also attend and actively participate in the preparation and presentation of documents for technical reviews, both internally and with customers.

In the role of Software Design, you will design semi-complex conveyor controls software using programming tools such as AB Logix Designer and Siemens TIA Portal/Step 7, while providing guidance to less experienced engineers.

Acting in some areas as a subject matter expert.Review and evaluate lower-level engineers work, support clearing them questions/doubts and giving them recommendations/best practices. Attend daily planning/safety meetings, contact manager and project lead while on site.Compile information into detailed technical report and take action in the resolution of on-site issues.Follow punch list and update accordingly and create action items in punch list.Submits accurate and timely reports of travel expenses, hours worked, and commissioning activities.

What We Are Looking For:

BS/BA in electrical engineering or advanced degree.8+ years of successful experience in related field.Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.Proficient in AutoCAD, either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs.Knowledgeable on AC drives, both open & closed loop.Experience in Ethernet IP network design and machine safety a plus.Ability to work on individually and small/large teams from different regions and ability to lead projects into the project life cycle.Document Job Activities through written reports.Flexibility to travel to multiple projects depending on projects schedules. Share knowledge and best practices with Engineering Peers.
