Position Summary:
Designs and develops IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards; performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications; develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings; assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.

Four year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field). Minimum 5 years functional experience including a minimum of 3 years specific experience. Ability to make significant contribution to processes and systems.

Responsibilities:
The Infrastructure Engineer (Linux/UNIX Engineer) is responsible for supporting Ingram Micro’s Linux/UNIX server environment, from design implementation to support; and handling Incident tickets, Service Request and Change Requests. He/she will perform a wide variety of installations; OS provisioning and configuration; patching; security hardening; and upgrading of servers and related hardware and software. He/she will also provide investigation, root cause analysis, diagnostic testing and troubleshooting. He/she will also be highly involved with Infrastructure related projects, solutions engineering and lifecycle management.
Qualifications:
Must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related courseAt least 8 years working experience on UNIX or Linux platform platform (Suse, AIX, Redhat, CentOs).Ability to write advance shell scripts for systems administration and automationAdvanced abilities in using systems administration tools, commands and processes.Ability to resolve problems independently.Ability to provide Engineering solutions for complex issues/projectsDemonstrates integrity and professionalism in taking responsibility.Results-oriented and willing to work on new technologies.Able to work independently and self-motivatedGood communication and documentation skillsCustomer oriented and possess Can-Do attitudeBasic understanding of Project ManagementRequired Skills:
