The role of Sr. Program Manager - Employee Experience (EE) is to be the leader for employee experience, supporting Amazon Shipping teams through the development and implementation of employee experience, communication, and engagement strategy programs. The role would suit a tenacious, detail-orientated people person with a passion for creating great experiences along with an ability to wade through ambiguity to navigate a large-scale, complex business. The ideal person will be a role model for diversity, inclusion and able to help create a growth culture, based on learning, coaching and problem solving. The role will help shape the employee experience strategy using internal survey data, direct employee feedback/anecdotes and industry best practices. It will also proactively guide Amazon Shipping leadership through quantitative and qualitative data, drive change in response to employee sentiment, and report progress through several communication channels. The role will work closely with Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) Tech leaders, PXT teams and key stakeholders across IND, US and EU regions to create cohesive programs, while working locally to continue to provide geography-specific options. A critical function of this role will be to provide program management leadership, support creation/implementation of team-level action plans in partnership with leadership, employee forums and affinity groups.
Key Deliverables include:
• Driving accountability and attainment of the Amazon Shipping Employee Experience vision and goals, as stated our annual operating plan
• Build strong relationships with L7+ Leaders, and PXT team across their assigned geographies, co-creating action plans for employee experience initiatives and providing regular updates and counsel
• Manage the creation, design and coordination of key programs content across regional teams
• Simplifying the overall onboarding and ramp-up processes for new hires in the organization
• Driving data collection and action planning efforts across teams where there is an opportunity to improve employee experience
• Collaborate with ATS PXT Teams and Central Connections research efforts and share insights with regions where appropriate
• Liaise with other PXT and L&D partners, to provide awareness of data trends and collaborate to identify opportunities to positively impact employee experience
• Contribute to regular program reporting including Flash Reports, MBRs, and QBRs by outlining trends, opportunities, and providing talking points to be Leadership. Following each quarter close, conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of employee experience in the region and report out a region/team summary of initiative implementation and effectiveness
• Help leaders execute the proper leveraging of Employee feedback to drive both associate and leader engagement
Key job responsibilities
• Be the employee experience advocate, representing and protecting this through all strategies and decision-making
• Drive utilization of voice mechanisms through reporting, communication and influence. Identify metrics and build mechanisms to track and review employee experience through the lens of these programs
• Work as part of a global team, developing innovative internal communications strategies, clear narratives and scalable tactics that are tailored to and engage the employee base
• Shared responsibility to develop employee experience, career growth, engagement and diversity and inclusion strategies, including specific communication cadences, programs and content
• Proactively build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders across a range of businesses, functions and locations
• Drive positive employee programs and best practices by auditing execution of engagement programs and mechanisms, including Work Life Harmony
• Provide expert internal communications counsel to Technology & PXT stakeholders and senior leaders within the organization while incorporating legal and PXT considerations across the regions
• Work to ensure that Amazon Shipping teams have a strong community and social responsibility engagement plan, in line with worldwide tenets and guidance, to ensure Amazon Shipping is a good neighbor in the communities we operate
