Sr. Program Manager, Forecasting Science, Selling Partner Services

Selling Partner Services (SPS) team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to join the Forecasting & Planning Research (FPR) team. You will assume primary responsibility for driving new innovation for global forecasting and headcount/capacity planning. The ideal candidate will possess both an analytical background that enables them to standardize methodologies and data to develop and successfully implement tools, systems and processes that empower the accurate prediction, measurement and reporting of demand forecasting, productivity, headcount, capacity and workforce compliance/adherence. In this role, you will experience a wide range of problem solving situations, strategic to real-time, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis. You will be responsible for the long term product strategy and product integration which are on the team's roadmap. You will drive quarterly business reviews across SPS to promote FPR’s work, increase stakeholder engagement, onboard new customers and provide a platform for leaders to review advancements made by FPR. You will work with data scientists & analysts on the FPR team to translate business requirements, research new algorithms and innovations in the field of data science and machine learning, build conceptual and shadow design of the final product and plan for product implementation. Key job responsibilities - Develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external SPS customers. - Fully define project scope and deliverables; stakeholders & project resources; gather, analyze, and prioritize customer and program requirements - Document constraints, dependencies, and assumptions - Define project success measures, timelines and milestones; drive project schedules and manage implementation of the tool or process - Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams; identify criteria for decision making and priorities - Create & maintain project documentation such as project plans, functional requirements and specifications, gap and dependency analyses, risk analyses, project briefs, and periodic reports - Engage directly with key resources to proactively identify, analyze, and creatively solve initiative blockers - Drive a rigorous and proactive cadence of analysis and reporting, keeping stakeholders well informed and engaged in key decisions - Develop and manage plans and roadmaps that successfully deliver promised results - Develop metrics to measure and ensure solution effectiveness - Remove obstacles and work towards consensus - Deliver projects with documented process workflows, data maps, standards & guidelines and sustainment plan - Answer key business strategy questions from Senior Leadership About the team Here at Selling Partner Services, we embrace our differences. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of program or project management experience - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership Preferred Qualifications - 2+ years of driving process improvements experience - Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
