Posting Number NONAC3359 Job Title Sr. Program Manager Position Title Sr. Program Manager Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Commensurate with experience Department Natl Ctr For Prim Care Position Summary Operating closely in tandem with the Project Director, this role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the federal grant, including strategy development, monitoring deliverables, managing targeted and intensive technical assistance projects, federal reporting, and supervision of staff. Minimum Qualifications Education: • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, and/ or Public Health. Masters preferred. Experience: • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in federal grants related to behavioral health/ public health (intersection of disparities and health, behavioral health). • Experience supervising and helping develop project staff. Preferred Qualifications Education: + Master’s degree in Behavioral Health, and/ or Public Health. Experience: + Eight years’ professional experience in federal grants related to behavioral health/ public health (intersection of disparities and health, behavioral health). + Preference is given to individuals with experience in complex project management, organizational leadership, program design and evaluation, research diversity, equity, and inclusion, and African American behavioral health disparities, especially as it relates to the field of mental health, substance use disorder and recovery. Job Duties Description of Job Duty • Provide leadership in program and resource development. Direct regional technical assistance and training initiatives in the substance use disorder field, including training program strategy and design, creation and leadership of training program teams, and resource provision for training program development and completion. • Participate in and represent the African American Behavioral Health COE in high-level meetings for a high-visibility project. Facilitate collaboration and communication among key stakeholders, including substance use disorder professionals, local/state/federal government officials, and other stakeholders. • Work successfully with a wide variety of stakeholders, including policymakers (federal, region, state, and local), physicians, nurses, counselors, social workers, community outreach workers, peer support professionals, and others. • Develop and oversee grant training program deliverables that will enhance the AABH -COE’s ability to ensure evidence-based, promising practices in behavioral health are available globally for African Americans. • Ensure deliverables are successfully and efficiently met within appropriate timelines and quality standards. • Academic scholarship, including the creation and delivery of presentations at professional and academic conferences and for university courses. Preparing and publishing manuscripts of original work in peer-reviewed journals. • Lead preparation of program-related reports and grant applications. Respond to new funding opportunities by designing novel programs and forming community collaborations. • Supervise team members, consultants, and contractors, including provision of professional development opportunities. • Develop marketing and web content to increase the visibility of the grant projects. • Other duties as assigned.
