Sr. Program Manager - IT **Overall Job Summary** This position is responsible forthe initiation, budgeting, operational planning, execution and overall leadership of multifaceted programs. Programs will typically consist of a set of closely related projects or associated activities that span multiple functional and technology areas. The program manager ensures that cross-project work efforts, dependencies and objectives remain achievable from a business standpoint so benefits are realized. They will oversee fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resource management of the program. The Program Manager serves as principal point of representation, communication, financial reporting, and liaison with program executives. The program manager will generally have 2-3 direct report project managers and will provide day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership as appropriate to the area of expertise. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)** + Direct and lead the delivery of complex programs which will include multiple dependent projects across functional areas and technology platforms. This includes leading the creation of the business case, program roadmaps, managing program governance structure, insuring integrated scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overseeing work of multiple project teams. (30%) + Identify, track and manage program level risks and issues. Serve as escalation point to resolve program issues, remove roadblocks, formulate contingency plans and communicate status to programs executive leadership team. (15%) + Functions as central point of program communication and status for program team members, stakeholders, management and executives. Communications are professional, timely, clear and present the correct level of information based on audience. (10%) + Directs the application of various technical disciplines such as process improvement, data analysis, architectural review, quality assurance and facilitation. Provides objective advice, expertise and leadership support to program team members with the aim of creating value, driving program work, and delivering to business expectations. (15%) + Leads the assessment of potential new projects within the program area, supports the analysis of the business opportunity, defines the delivery approach, builds resource estimates and schedules, creates program artifacts and works with the Business or Functional IT leaders to gain agreement on project scope and approach. Influences and leads large-scale change initiatives (10%) + Selects, trains, coaches, develops and appraises performance of direct report Project Managers. (10%) + Accountable for adherence to established PMO delivery standards and industry best practices to insure successful project delivery leads to the overall program goals being achieved. (10%)      **Required Qualifications** + Minimum 10 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams in a high-pressure, dynamic enterprise environment leveraging expert skills in motivating, facilitating, influencing and driving results through teams. + Proven expert level leadership in all aspects of program and project management. + Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact, influence, manage and negotiate effectively at all levels including peers through senior level management. Easily builds trusted and collaborative professional relationships. + Experience and strong understanding of both waterfall and Agile project methodologies. + Critical thinker that uses team inputs, experience, good judgment and intuition in decision making. + Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment and be a self-starter. Must be able to function with minimal supervision and be able to prioritize all work tasks for successful quality completion. + Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail. + Experience managing vendor contracts, performance metrics, onboarding activities, deliverables, and costs. + Bachelor’s Degree in related technology field with advance degree preferred.      **Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities** + Project Management Professional (PMP) designation desired. + Six Sigma training desired. + Advanced skills using MS office suite, MS Project and Visio. + Ability to effectively operate with high energy, enthusiasm and flexibility in a fast-paced, growing business. + Demonstrated strong business acumen to complement strong tactical program execution abilities. **Working Conditions** + Normal office working conditions + Must be able to work some nights and weekends **Physical Requirements** + Sitting + Standing (not walking) + Walking + Kneeling/Stooping/Bending + Driving a vehicle + Lifting up to 10 pounds **Disclaimer** _This job description represents an overview of the responsibilities for the above referenced position.
