Summary

Reports to the Director of Program Management R&D. Responsible for defining, leading, and communicating across product development, sustaining, or improvement projects in the Medication Delivery (MD) Global Business.

What you’ll doProvide business and technical leadership for a major, high-complexity program within the MD Business. Which is a core growth area providing infusion pumps, intravenous drugs, and administration and pharmacy preparation devices with over $2B sales annually.Lead multi-functional scientific and technical teams in all aspects of project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for life cycle management of key products.Provide leadership within the department and manage collaborator expectations with regard to results during the program.Lead teams in the timely resolution of sophisticated problems, including development of technical solutions, project plans, resourcing plans, and budgets.Develop core team and project management capabilities across the organization.Comfortable influencing and communicating with senior leaders inside and outside the business unit.Apply standard Project Management skills, methodologies, and standards (such as PMBOK) within the guidelines of project management, standard performance metrics, and regulatory guidelines.Establish, track, and communicate project risks.Manage all financial aspects of assigned projects, from initiation through close, which may include capital expenditures, functional expenses, and program positioning.Collaborate with marketing, legal, and purchasing to develop and negotiate contracts.

What you’ll bringMinimum: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field plus 7 years project management experience. Desired: Master’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.Minimum: 10 yrs. in product life cycle experience with proven success leading multi-site, global, or enterprise-wide programs in the medical products industry.PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred.Self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, experienced in analyzing sophisticated problems and in driving high-performing teams.Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Product Development Process requirements.Strong leadership and financial competence skills.Proficient with scheduling software.Proven product development experience.
