Sr. Project Engineer
As a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will take on a leadership role in assessing and driving the achievement of program-specific performance across multiple parallel projects Collaborating closely with Project Engineers and Program Managers, you will help ensure successful project delivery. You will partner with the technical resource managers, assist with staffing, and be the primary focal for program cost, schedule, and technical issue coordination and escalation. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance. You will report directly to our Sr. Engineering Program Manager and you’ll work onsite out of our Phoenix, AZ location. Key Responsibilities • Project planning, status, execution, and escalation • Drive clear communications between Technical leaders • Optimize the team through procedural improvements and automations • Driving HW/SW quotation estimate efforts and approvals • Facilitating various teams to solutions and agreement • Drive and improve project engineering practices for the group US PERSON REQUIREMENT Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization. YOU MUST HAVE • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Science or Engineering • 5+ years of project engineering or as a lead engineer on product development WE VALUE • Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application, within Aero and the larger industry • Diverse teaming and collaboration/facilitation skills • Trusted Advisor relationship with Customers • Skill to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, deploy new approaches • Significant experience in project planning and coordination, especially familiarity with Platform Hardware/Software processes and practices • Familiarity with Honeywell/Aero project management and secure practices ABOUT HONEYWELL Honeywell Aerospace Technologies (AT) products and services are found on virtually every commercial, defense, and space aircraft in the world.
