Scope of Position Lead technology development and fundamental knowledge building in BOD and finishing Lead cross department collaboration and coordinating with plant, supply chain, Engineering, and other organizations Nurture innovation culture and motivate team members for in-depth studies Lead technology transfer to Engineering and Manufacturing. Communicate with key programs at Display to solicit inputs and ensure alignment. Protect Corning’s intellectual property by filing invention disclosures for patent application timely. Document all project findings in internal, structured reports. Support the professional growth of the engineers working on the projects. Education & Experience

Education:

MS in mechanical engineering, materials science, chemical engineering or a related engineering/science field. Ph.D. is preferred. Drive execution of technology programs within area of responsibility using rigor and scientific methods Provides inputs on technical roadmap for upper management Create and maintain a safe working environment for all employees

Experience and Skills:

Excellent skills in managing innovation projects from Stage II to IV and proven ability for technology transfer from development to engineering & manufacturing Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese and people skills; able to build and maintain strong linkage with the Technical Community, Engineering, Manufacturing and commercial technology Experienced in leading cross functional and multi-disciplined teams composed of Development, Engineering, MT&E and plant resources Ability to leverage theoretical analysis, modeling as well as lab experiment results and direct/guide technology development. Proficient in experiment planning and experimental data analysis Desired Skills Supervisor's experience preferred Expertise in mechanical and control preferred Can solve problem based on first principles Can lead on-line trials Interpersonal skills engaging, enabling, and open. Self-starter, self- managing, results oriented and high commitment Good working attitude and willing to take challenges. Travel Requirements 20% domestic and international
