Global Business Development Organization (GBDO) Overview

The GBDO has a presence in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, and is composed of four main areas:

Sales & Client Services works with financial intermediaries and institutions to offer diversified investment solutions that help clients build and preserve their wealthBusiness Development is a conduit to the firm’s investment teams and supports our clients and internal business partners through investment-platform and product content, messaging, competitive analysis and educationProduct Strategy & Development designs, develops and manages the firm’s global lineup of investment services and considers clients’ evolving needs to identify new opportunitiesMarketing promotes the firm and its services by creating, packaging and distributing content and messaging to engage diverse audiences through digital platforms and initiatives, strategic campaigns, and events

Job Summary

A Senior Project Manager will lead, implement, and complete various global multi-channel projects and campaigns successfully. This role requires a strategic thinker with outstanding project management skills, the ability to work well with cross-functional teams, and a proven history of achieving successful outcomes on large scale projects/programs. Your job will be to organize people and processes ensuring projects are delivered on time and produce the expected results that align with AB’s marketing and sales goals. To be successful in the role, it will be essential that you build strong relationships with: Global Marketing Leads, Sales, Product Management, Business Development, Digital Development, Product Managers, Automation teams, IT and Global Brand. With multiple global projects running at the same time, it will be essential for you to partner back with stakeholders- assessing risks, prioritizing resources and escalating when issues or delays occur. 

Job Qualifications & Key Attributes

Understanding of digital concepts and omni-channel marketing experience. How they connect and how best to deliver the pieces for a successful campaignCoordinating internal resources and engaging vendors when needed for the flawless execution of projectsEnsuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budgetBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, creatives, front-end development, and technologyCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation, sharing best practices with the broader project management teamOwn delivery of projects within the global strategic roadmap: analysis, development, promotion and measurement reporting Analytical mindset focused on setting and measuring KPIs and adjusting campaigns accordingly. Leverage metrics to provide  actionable insights for continuous improvement (i.e. post project read outs- how did it perform resource efficiency, capacity planning)Resolve project-related issues and roadblocks in a timely and sensitive mannerIdentify and asses global project risks, develop mitigation strategies and lead risk management efforts when neededNavigate client challenges independentlyMay mentor junior colleagues and/or manage external contractors/agencies, but will not typically have formal management role

The ideal candidate should have:

5-7 years’ experience in digital marketing projects and/or marketing campaign deliveryExperience and proven track record in managing multiple, large website and marketing projects from conception to completionCapacity to manage multiple clients and projects at the same time in a fast-paced environmentA balance between forward thinking and detail oriented- moving the firm forward, but still delivering on the immediate needs of the teamAbility to digest complex problems and build consensus and get large project teams moving in the same directionBe adept at synthesizing data to arrive at a compelling conclusion/tell a storyCollaborative and open to other viewpointsAbility to demonstrate agility and innovation when faced with complexity and/or adversityExperience with Adobe Digital Marketing Platform a plusStrong project management and analytical problem-solving skills; Risk ManagementBe comfortable with PM tools and management of projects through Agile/Waterfall methodologiesExperience with stakeholder managementDeveloped communication and diplomacy skills; ability to interface with colleagues at all levels of the organizationBroad understanding of the business and PMO practicesExcellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
