As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the design and construction of a client’s facilities, ensuring the projects meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation. **This is an on-site position based in San Diego, with occasional travel to other Southern California locations as needed.** **What you’ll do:** + Project Management: Lead all aspects of the entire project lifecycle from planning, entitlements, design, through construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards as well as aligning with end user goals and ensure technical compliance to the program and guidelines. + Strategic Decision Making: Make informed strategic decisions regarding project direction and prioritization to achieve successful outcomes. + Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication with all team members, including user groups, vendors, and internal teams. + Collaboration: Work closely with all internal team members, e.g. facilities, security, network, operations, etc. to ensure project goals and deliverables are aligned with client’s standards and guidelines, and user’s business goals. Demonstrate your ability to lead large teams of consultants, partners, and vendors, ensuring cohesive and productive teamwork. + Time Management: Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to handle multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously. + Project Planning & Design: Navigate planning, entitlements, design, and construction with end users efficiently and effectively. Align end user goals with design and construction objectives, providing guidance as needed to consultants and project teams to ensure successful implementation. Leverage your deep knowledge of design management and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to guide project decisions and ensure technical compliance to the program and guidelines. + Process Adherence: Adhere to and enforce strict processes and protocols to maintain consistency and quality in project execution. + Change Management: Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule, and resources, minimizing their impact on overall project objectives. + Direct Reports: Lead and mentor a team of direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. **What you’ll need:** + Bachelor’s degree with a preferred minimum of 8 years of project management experience in managing design and construction of heavy-MEP labs facilities, workplace, data centers, or similar. + In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. PMP and CCM designations preferred. + Managing multiple large-scale projects exceeding $20 million total project cost. + Experience with heavy MEP infrastructure projects and solid understanding of various MEP systems, e.g. backup power (generators, UPS, etc.), chilled-water systems, busway, vacuum pumps, compressors, etc. + Solid understanding of the commissioning process, sequence of operation, and integration into building management systems (BMS). + Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to clientele. Ability to effectively present information. + Travel up to 25%, or as needed based on project needs, to other sites in Southern California as needed. + Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. The minimum salary for this position is $140,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $165,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
