Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. QC Microbiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in rapid microbial testing, including plating, endotoxin, and gram staining. This role involves working with finished products and raw materials, environmental monitoring, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and in-house requirements.
ResponsibilitiesConduct microbial testing of finished products and raw materials using Biolumix / Soleris.Manage the environmental monitoring program of production and Microbiology areas.Prepare media and perform growth promotion testing.Collect and analyze cleaning validation samples.Identify ATCC cultures and verify populations.Record testing and results in appropriate logbooks and lab automation programs.Perform transactions for sample entry and results recording.Conduct miscellaneous validation for basic microbiological methods where applicable.Compile data obtained from testing and observations, completing report summaries.Recognize OOS or out of trend results and assist in lab investigations under the direction of QC management.Comply with all regulatory and in-house requirements, including safety, housekeeping, laboratory chemical waste, cGMP, GLP, and documentation.Essential SkillsBachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry/Biology.3-5 years of experience with rapid microbial testing, including plating, endotoxin, and gram staining.Experience in the nutraceutical or CDMO/CMO industries.Proficiency in aseptic technique and media preparation.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Biolumix / Soleris systems is an advantage.Ability to take initiative and work independently.Demonstrated stability, having been at their previous employer for 2+ years.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00
