Your Impact

 

At OpenText, we are looking at motivated highly passionate Senior QA for OpenText Operations Bridge Manager (OBM), which is part of ITOM BU. The candidate must have the experience, talent, skill set and confidence to work with world-class development team at the OpenText office in Bengaluru, India.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation Development: Design, develop, monitor and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for our applications.  Experience in test case automation using Java, TestNG, REST for various applications. Good to have – Python, Shell scripting experience. Test Planning: Experience with Unit, Functional, Regression and Load/Stress/Scale Testing concepts & frameworks. Experience with writing new test cases, designing test plan, executing manual/automation tests. Strong experience in Product QA in IT Operations Management Domain. Kubernetes & Containers: Develop, manage and orchestrate containerized test automation environments/frameworks. Working knowledge in cloud, Docker and Kubernetes Technologies. Platforms & Databases: Strong experience in Linux. Also Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Hands on experience with Databases – Postgres, Oracle, SQL server & others CI/CD Tools: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and continuous delivery. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions. Involve in customer escalations and help them troubleshooting/resolutions/fix. Performance & Load Testing: Design and execute performance and load tests to assess system stability and scalability under various conditions. Dependability: Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills. And work closely with cross-functional teams.  Coach mentor junior engineers and new members into the team. Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities. Willing to go that extra mile to accomplish team goals. Ensure timely release of high-quality product releases and encourage and contribute to innovation aligned with the business.

 

Education and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Typically, 5 to 8 years’ experience.

 

Must have:

 

Experience testing against multiple Operating systems & Browsers (Linux/Windows) Proven Experience as a QA Automation Engineer with advanced skills in Java and experience in developing and managing containerized automation frameworks. Experience working in Containers, Kubernetes, Docker etc. Experience with API Testing such as REST & GRPC Proficiency in version control systems and CI/CD tools (E.g.: Maven, Jenkins, GitLab) Hands-on experience with Databases – Oracle, Postgres, MS SQL server etc. Exposure in Performance, Scale and concurrency testing. (E.g.: JMeter) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment and related tools (Jira/Confluence)
