Your Impact
OpenText Workforce Optimization division is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The Senior QA will be responsible to ensure that the company’s contact center technologies and products meet total quality management and reliability standards in on-cloud and off-cloud releases. This position requires research and implementation of new or improved testing methods, processes, tools and systems while developing and coordinating appropriate test procedures.

Ensure that validated deliverables always meet functional, design specifications and requirements of the software/products, and keeps relevant management informed on the status of testing processes, raising issues when necessary. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Review them with peers and stakeholders; and provide necessary feedback as needed.Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.Perform root-cause analysis of software/product issues in order to isolate issues and develop solutions that prevent recurrence.Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet requirements.Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.Monitor debugging process results.Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.Continuous learning to stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.Be a result-oriented individual, be helpful and consumer-oriented, be procedural and meticulous, be a team-builder and team player, and have an ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.Ability to relate well with others, forming strong and lasting connections with collaborating personnel, quality assurance leadership, and the business’s consumers.
What you will need to succeed
Bachelor’s Degree in Technology with either 5+ years of relevant industry experience or 2+ years of relevant industry experience with ISTQB certificationIn depth knowledge of QA test methodologies and strategies. Application and demonstration of systematic approaches for identifying and rendering feature rich, complex test cases.Ability to see the big picture and quickly grasp and apply technical concepts. Experience in rendering and reviewing metrics for assessing readiness of product release.Ability to work independently, under general supervision, and response to priority issues effectively.Demonstrates competence and self-motivation in analyzing problems and performing root cause analysis. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Proven ability to grasp quickly and keep current on new technologies and understand business needs.Able to identify and co-implement quality campaigns within the Development community.Proven work experience in software development and/or software quality assurance.Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, processes, and methods.Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.Hands-on experience working in Windows Server, Windows Desktop, and Linux environment.Hands-on of experience with web application technologies and protocols.Solid knowledge of MSSQL and scripting.Experience with SOA, Web Services, REST API and SOAP is desirableResource monitoring (Windows & Linux Environment) & and bottleneck analysisExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.Experience with functional, performance and/or security testing is a plus. Written, verbal and listening skills to communicate with managers, customers, and colleagues.
