Job DescriptionInspect in-process and completed manufactured product in accordance with work instructions, drawings and technical documentation packagesPerform special inspections of developmental and prototype parts involving a high degree of complexityInspect incoming material or perform source inspection prior to material receiptAssist engineers and vendor/customer representatives by evaluating parts and assemblies and identifying causes of non-conformancesAssist engineering personnel in reviewing and developing inspection methods and procedures.Drive continuous improvement by recommending process improvements to eliminate defects, reduce routine inspection time and improve overall efficiencyPerform mechanical inspection operations using standard gages and tooling including inspections to contract specifications and established quality standards.Work from blueprints, engineering prototype drawings, customer specifications, and written and verbal instructions to certify conformance to size, form, finish and workmanshipDevise, set up, maintain and operate a wide variety of mechanical, optical, and electrical inspection equipmentPerform First Article Inspection or Test including required forms and recordsParticipate as a member of assigned factory Integrated Product TeamsFunction as delegated or designated inspector on behalf of customer(s)Assist with internal audits or support external third party or customer audits.

QualificationsHigh School diploma and two years of post high school technical education providing knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, and/or machine shop practice; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.6 + years of experience in InspectionExperience in Receiving InspectionExposure to ISO Standards and preferably AS9100 and AS9102 Standards is desirable
