Sr. Quality Technician

Job Title: Sr. Quality Technician

Job Summary: The Supplier Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products and materials received from suppliers meet the company's quality standards. This role involves inspecting and testing incoming materials, maintaining quality records, and collaborating with suppliers to resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials and products to ensure they meet specified quality standards. Document and report inspection results, including any non-conformances or defects. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards for supplier products. Collaborate with domestic and international suppliers to address and resolve quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented. Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation. Maintain First Article Inspections (FAI) as governed by the part drawing specifications. Perform In-process audits to meet the demands of ISO9001:2015 Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and supplier performance. Manage Production Trial Runs (PTR) on supplier products and supply feedback to supplier contacts

 Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a technical field preferred. 2+ years of experience in quality control or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SAP. Knowledge of quality control principles, inspection techniques and testing methods. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment. (Hand Gages, CMM , Optical ect.) Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or other quality management systems. Certification in quality control or Ability to obtain ASQ certification within 2 years if not already certified Ability to obtain forklift and man lift certification for operation Machining background with basic knowledge of milling & turning Metallurgical experience with steel bar and castings

 Working Conditions:

This position may require standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
