If you are passionate about making a difference and ready to tackle meaningful challenges, we want you on our team! **Principal Responsibilities** • Translate user and business requirements into product requirements and high-level product design. • System architecture and concept design of electromechanical devices and web application systems. • Trade-off product/system design specifications and interfaces and determine feasibility of potential solutions. • Design & develop electromechanical systems (or sub-systems). • Trade-off product/system design specifications and interfaces and determine feasibility of potential solutions. • Design and develop software to control the devices. • Develop test methods for early-stage characterization and later-stage design verification & validation. • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to source components. • Collaborate with external firms to manage clinical procedural web application software development and implementation, focusing on improving patient care and operational efficiency. • Maintain sufficient and accurate technical records per company policies. • Lead and hold periodic technical and project reviews. • Stay current with technology, practices, and general engineering knowledge related to the R&D Engineering field through seminars, literature, and peer groups. • Contribute to our culture of collaboration, respect, transparency, ethics, efficiency, high achievement, and fun. **Education / Experience Requirements** • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. OR Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Master’s in Mechatronics or Systems Engineering. • Master’s Degree in Mechatronics engineering would be preferred. • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related major or 6 years and a master’s degree, or a PhD with 3 years of experience or equivalent experience. **Specialized Skills / Other Requirements** • Experience in robotics, motor control systems, embedded systems, or hardware/software integration. • PCB design and development experience. • Real-time programming experience (PLC, microcontrollers etc), • Strong electromechanical design and analysis skills. • Programming skills in Python, C/C++ programming, MATLAB for automation, HMTL and JavaScript. • Proficiency in SolidWorks. • Experience with managing/steering software development for guiding clinical procedures. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. • Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 82304-1, MDD, and FDA QSR. • Experience developing mechatronic products with IEC 60601. • Medical device experience required. • Full stack knowledge on independently executing the electromechanical system from concept to V&V. • Experience in concept to commercialization of at least one project. • Knowledge of clinical applications and associated product requirements with the ability to translate these requirements into detailed specifications. • Awareness of the development cycle for custom healthcare EE and software systems. • Familiarity with various materials and processes, such as extrusion processing, injection molding, machine shop operations, fixtures and tooling, stamping, adhesive and thermal bonding, and various other medical device fabrication and design methods, is preferred. • Self-motivated individual with proven ability to work independently from objectives. • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Experience with quality management systems and medical device regulations. • Proven communication skills with cross-functional interaction. \# LI- NR1 _At Teleflex, we follow a comprehensive hiring process.
