Job Description

We are seeking a Senior R&D Technician to maintain and repair fixtures and equipment on the production line. This role involves executing calibration and preventative maintenance to ensure smooth production flow. You will document updates in design, testing, and process development activities, collaborate with the mechanical engineering team on new process development projects, and perform testing protocols. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to align with the next shift.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair fixtures and equipment on the production line.Execute calibration and preventative maintenance to ensure production flow.Document design, testing, and process development activity updates.Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team on new process development projects.Perform testing protocols and oversee activities from engineering projects during the 2nd shift (2pm-11pm).Provide technical support to maintain, calibrate, and repair production equipment.Use IQ/PQ/OQ protocols to validate equipment used for manufacturing processes.Assess equipment for correct parameters and alignment.Assist mechanical engineers with process development projects and test protocols.Work autonomously and coach other production line teammates with equipment as needed.Essential SkillsExperience with IQ, OQ, PQ, and Validations.Preventive maintenance and documentation skills.Cleanroom experience.Troubleshooting skills.Experience with medical devices, UV Boxes, Hot Boxes, and Thermal Bonding.Good written and verbal communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsGood attitude and willingness to learn and be coached.Medical Device experience is a plus.Work Environment

This is a 2nd/swing shift position with an ideal start time of 2pm and an 8-hour shift. Occasional preplanned shifts may be required. The technician is expected to work autonomously and use prior experience to execute directions from the mechanical engineering team. The work environment has a healthy culture focused on teamwork and solving issues collaboratively. The company is investing more into the development of new products at this site.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00/hr.
