Sr. Reporting Analyst (Jira/Tableau/PowerBI)
Job Description Our entertainment streaming client is looking for a Sr. Reporting Analyst to join the Quality Enablement Marketing team. This individual will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining complex reports and dashboards that help stakeholders across the organization make data-driven decisions, specifically from Jira. These new dashboards will be supporting the marketing teams campaign deployments and hours spent on it. In addition to creating new dashboards, the Sr. Reporting Analyst will also help update current KPIs and take on ad hoc reporting requests. Key Responsibilities: 1. Report and Dashboard Development: o Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, providing actionable insights to business stakeholders. o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, visual, and insightful reports. o Leverage advanced features of Tableau/Power BI (e.g., calculated fields, parameters, filters) to deliver reports and dashboards that support key business functions. 2. Data Integration and Modeling: o Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure smooth integration of data sources into Tableau and Power BI. o Build and maintain data models in Power BI or Tableau, ensuring that the data is structured appropriately for reporting and analytics. o Create data pipelines and automated workflows to refresh reports and ensure that business leaders have access to the most up-to-date information. 3. Data Analysis: o Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement. o Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations. o Use statistical methods to interpret data, identify significant patterns, and present findings to non-technical audiences. 4. Stakeholder Engagement and Support: o Work closely with business users to gather reporting requirements, understand business goals, and create customized reporting solutions. o Provide training and support to users on how to use Tableau/Power BI dashboards and reports effectively. o Assist stakeholders in interpreting and understanding data, answering questions, and troubleshooting issues with reports or dashboards. 5. Performance and Optimization: o Monitor the performance of Tableau and Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they load quickly and efficiently for end-users. o Optimize queries and data models to improve report performance, particularly as the scale of the data grows. o Identify opportunities to streamline data sources and automate processes to reduce manual intervention. 6. Continuous Improvement: o Stay up-to-date with the latest features and best practices in Tableau, Power BI, and data visualization. o Contribute to the ongoing improvement of data reporting processes and tools. o Lead or participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and provide mentorship to junior analysts. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of professional data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence experience in an Agile environment  Hands-on in building and maintaining reports and dashboards from scratch using Tableau and Power BI (both Desktop and Server/Online).  Skilled with Jira and Agile best practices  Experience with SQL for querying databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift); ability to create queries from scratch  Strong ability to analyze large datasets and create meaningful, visually appealing reports and dashboards that help drive business decisions.  High level of accuracy and attention to detail  Ability to troubleshoot complex reporting issues and offer effective solutions  Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.  Experience working with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver solutions.  Bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
