**Sr. Residential Supervisor** **Job Details** **Job Location** WHCG - Milwaukee, WI **Position Type** Full Time **Travel Percentage** Up to 50% **Job Shift** 1st Shift **Description** **Job Purpose:** This is a supervisory position that encompasses overall management of the consumers of the Residential Services Programs. This manager role is accountable for the overall operation of the residential program. Duties include oversight of medical and psychiatric care coordination for group home residents as well as training, supervising and evaluation of Residential Services staff for compliance with DHS 83 State regulations and Individualized Service Plan facilitation. This position is a member of the WHCG Leadership Team. This position is critical to staff retention and engagement. **Essential Job Functions:** 1. Works with Human Resources Department in the recruiting and hiring of Residential Coordinator, Residential Clinical Supervisors, and Residential Operations Supervisors. 2. Provides training and scheduling of Residential Coordinator and assists with training and scheduling for the Residential Clinical Supervisors, and Residential Operations Supervisors in accordance with DHS 83 and agency policy and procedures. 3. Provides direct supervision of Residential Coordinator according to commonly accepted supervisory practices. This involves ensuring staff fulfills job duties at a satisfactory level of performance in relation to DHS 83 regulations and licensure. This includes appropriate communication with clients as well as other staff. 4. Oversees all Residential Clinical Supervisors regarding admissions, ISP’s, and resident cares. 5. Monitors and ensures compliance with DHS 83 standards set forth in the regulation for development, review, and implementation of client treatment plans and resident rights. This position has the responsibility to oversee, lead and direct all compliance related matters, including, but not limited to licensure, quality client care, clinical documentation and treatment planning. 6. Oversees all Residential Operations Supervisors regarding environmental compliance, staff training compliance, staffing retention, and direct care staff scheduling in accordance with DHS 83 regulations. 7. Conducts intake assessments for all possible new resident admissions. 8. Facilitates weekly team meetings to staff all residents and provide direction for new policies and procedures. 9. Manages and implements staff retention strategies. 10. Provides oversight to Residential Services budget including monitoring weekly CBRF Care and Maintenance/Room and Board billing, monthly CBRF Cost of Care invoicing, and resident monthly personal needs requests. 11. Maintains current WHCG system of documentation in database or in client progress log. 12. Attends meetings with Milwaukee County CARS when necessary and management meetings. 13. Assists the after-hours Residential Services on-call during clinical and scheduling emergencies. 14. Advises WHCG Vice President of any critical or urgent client medical or psychiatric emergencies. 15. Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service training seminars and conferences as required. 16. Responsible for adhering to agency policies and procedures while carrying out daily responsibilities. 17. Provides support and coverage during times of Staff Development Manager vacancy or time off. 18. Works in partnership with the quality department to develop appropriate measures in support of program outcomes. 19. Participates in department quality planning activities, (e.g. continuous improvement, Logic models, performance metrics, etc.,) **Qualifications** **Required Technical Skills, Experience, Education, and Credentials:** 1. Master’s Degree required, with experience, education or credentials in social services, psychiatry, or human services. 2. Requires experience working with adults diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness and supervisory experience. 3. Must have leadership experience with employees, trainee, or through client management. 4. Must be competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, social media, power point public speaking, strategic planning, and brand management. 5. Professional workplace appearance and conduct; friendliness and courtesy to clients, coworkers and vendors. 6. Effectively communicates and develops good working relationships with co-workers. 7. Reliability in reporting to work regularly and on time. 8. Must possess good communication, listening, writing and organizational skills. 9. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. 10. Motor vehicle record acceptable to program and/ or contractual requirements. 11. A valid Wisconsin driver's license, and automobile insurance with minimum limits of $50,000/$100,000 bodily injury and $10,000 property damage”. 12. Access to a personal vehicle. **Work Environment and Physical Requirements** The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee may experience or must do to successfully perform the essential functions of the job: 1. Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone, by computer and in person. 2. On occasion must be able to push/pull/lift/move objects weighting at least 20 pounds. 3. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and average at least 40 hours a week. 4. This position will frequently work in a fast paced office environment and will be required to use office equipment including, but not limited to, a personal computer, fax machine and office copier. 5.
