Sr. Risk Manager, Misleading Claims, Regulatory Intelligence Safety and Compliance
Description Are you interested in being part of a high visibility, strategic team focused on improving the customer experience? The Regulatory Intelligence Safety and Compliance team protects customers from products that are unsafe, illegal, illegally marketed, controversial or otherwise in violation of Amazon's policies while enabling our Selling Partners to offer their broadest selection of safe and compliant products. We're seeking an experienced Risk Manager to lead the development and implementation of Amazon's new Misleading Claims program. This role will define and execute strategies to protect customers from deceptive product claims across our marketplace. The ideal candidate will build comprehensive policies, design enforcement mechanisms, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across Product Quality, Legal, Tech, Science, and Ops teams. You'll develop scalable solutions leveraging ML/AI technologies, establish success metrics, and create seller education programs. Strong stakeholder management, technical understanding, and experience with trust and safety programs are essential. This role requires excellent judgment in balancing customer protection with seller success. Key job responsibilities The successful candidate will: - Have a deep understanding of e-commerce trust challenges, experience with policy development, and proven ability to launch complex programs at scale. - Collaborate across cross functional teams – legal, operations, business, finance, data, and tech teams to set up the new program - Provide data-driven and actionable insights to senior stakeholders to influence roadmaps and align on solutions - Develop key metrics and performance indicators to track progress against business objectives and measure results About the team Here at Selling Partner Services, we embrace our differences. Basic Qualifications - 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience at consulting firms or equivalent - Ability to work on large data sets to draw insights Preferred Qualifications - Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification - Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent - Master's degree or equivalent Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
