Job Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Risk Reporting Analyst (Global WAM Risk) to join our team at MBPS. In this role, you will be responsible for producing management and risk reports for different Risk Officers across Manulife’s Global Wealth and Asset Management (GWAM) business.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce management and risk reports for different GWAM Risk Officers 

Monitor and investigate Investment Risk data quality check exceptions

Gather data and perform analysis of report results for Investment Risk team

Collaborate with the BU on Investment Risk projects/initiatives

Weekly/Monthly touchpoints with the BU for progress, updates or challenges on tasks assigned

Perform any other tasks as necessary and requested by the BU

Qualifications:

Experience in Financial Services: At least 2 years of experience in the financial service industry, preferably within a large multinational investment management company, is desired. Experience with finance or operations in data management and reporting is essential.

Financial Instruments and Data Governance Knowledge: A sound understanding of various financial instruments such as fixed income, equity, derivatives, and alternative investments, as well as familiarity with data governance concepts, is needed.

Analytical and Reporting Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are critical. The ability to produce and present comprehensive reports in a high-impact, easily-understandable format is essential.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for clear and structured communication with global team members. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across multiple departments are also necessary.

Amenable to work on a nightshift schedule.

Nice to Haves:

Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, including mastery of formulas and pivot tables, are required. Proficiency in other business tools like Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word is also important. Knowledge of VBA is a plus.
