**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Senior Sales Account Consultant!**
**PURPOSE:** Are you ready to take your career to the next level? As a Senior Sales Account Consultant, you'll be at the forefront of renewing and growing our Taft Hartley book of business, handling the most complex and jumbo accounts. You'll work with a diverse range of products, including indemnity, self-funded, shared administration, managed care medical products, ancillary/specialty products, and life products. Your mission? Drive revenue, build and maintain strong relationships, and lead innovative sales initiatives within your territory. Achieve sales and profitability goals by expertly managing both new and existing accounts.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
+ **Drive Retention & Growth:** Ensure annual renewal of each assigned account and aggressively pursue growth by developing and implementing tailored benefit and financial strategies of ancillary products.
+ **Consultative Account Management:** Use data analytics, reporting and predictive modeling to identify cost drivers and develop strategies/solutions to help address rising costs while maintaining rich benefits, high member satisfaction and maximum worker productivity.
+ **Client Relationships:** Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients.
+ **Leadership:** Take ownership of territory team initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met and goals are achieved.
+ **Problem Solving:** Resolve issues and handle client complaints swiftly and effectively.
+ **Customer Engagement:** Gather feedback and suggest innovative ways to enhance customer engagement.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ **Education:** Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Alternatively, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
+ **Experience:** 10 years in sales/service within the group healthcare sector.
+ **Licenses/Certifications:** Current health and life license for Maryland, DC, and Virginia upon hire.
+ **Preferred Experience:**
+ Strong understanding of ASO self-funding and stop loss in a lead account management role.
+ Experience working with TPAs and Labor is a plus.
+ Previous experience in a similar sales role with a competitor, another Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, TPA or consulting firm.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):**
+ **CRM Expertise:** Proficient in CRM and other client management tools.
+ **Analytical:** Ability to analyze data/reports and confidently explain them to a client on cost drivers, future projected costs and strategies to improve future costs and trends.
+ **Customer Service:** Strong orientation towards customer service excellence.
+ **Problem Solving:** Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
+ **Communication:** Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ **Multitasking:** Capable of meeting deadlines and handling multiple customer service demands from both internal and external customers, while maintaining service excellence. Must effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to all, including demanding or challenging customers.
**Travel Requirements:**
+ **Travel:** Approximately 40% travel primarily locally in MD/DC/N.VA area to to meet with clients and prospective clients.
+ Candidates must live in the Maryland, DC, VA area in order to travel to local offices and for in-person client meetings.
Salary Range: $96,000 - $156,000 (salaries are based on education, experience & internal equity) Sales Incentive Targets are separate
